Simmons' Mouse Lemur (Microcebus simmonsi)

MORPHOLOGY:
Simmons' mouse lemur has an average body mass of around 75 grams (Louis et al., 2006). The pelage of the dorsum, forelimbs, and head is colored dark reddish to orange-brown (Louis et al., 2006). The head has black-tipped hairs on the crown, and mid-dorsal stripe is occasionally found (Louis et al., 2006). On the rostrum there is a distinctive white patch (Louis et al., 2006). The ventral side is colored grayish white to white (Louis et al., 2006).

RANGE:
Simmons' mouse lemur is found in Eastern Madagascar in Betampona Special Reserve and Zahamena National Park (Louis et al., 2006).
